Hearing the echo of the wall of the grand canyon.  Yup, you're in the right place

Thanks guys. I keep most of my feelings to myself and or shut them off but sometimes, I feel like I have nowhere to go when I do let them get the better of me (most of the time it is at work and I am stuck). I have lost a few friends thanks to fing cancer over the last 8 months, 2 in the last few weeks both were around my age with young children. I am fortunate and get pissed at myself for letting myself get upset or mad (ie feeling sorry for myself). Sometimes, my brain just wont stop and I just cant shut it off, I cant get the bad thoughts out of my head. There really isnt anything that ignites it, I just feel like bursting into tears from time to time. I hate it!

I rode my stationary bike, hit the punching bag when I got home from work and now I am relaxing (thanks Lorazepam). I do feel better and noone get hurt Smileso hopefully, tomorrow will be a better day.

Thanks for letting me rant. Have a good night.

Sometimes I get in my car with the windows up and scream. It helps.

In convertible weather you can do that, too, because all the other cars have their windows UP.  With the added derring-do of challenging the wind to catch your hat and expose you HAIRLESS.  I did it at 65 mph and no, my Tinkerbell floppy hat never abandoned me.

If you cannot scream without "disturbing the piece", sit down with a full box of tissues.  Pull them out one at a time with a GRUNT like a world-class tennis star.  It's lower volume, but allows the intensity.

    Peace,

    Beth

Get a bag or plastic bowl of ice cubes, find a brick wall or concrete sidewalk.  Wear Eye protection - ice chips in the eye = not good.  Smash and throw the ice cubes and stomp if you want.  Grunt, groan, scream if no one is around.   A drive thru car wash is good for screaming.   Go for it - rant and rave and be angry.   The shower is pretty sound proof with water running...

Yes, Vicki - you are in the right place. I think we ALL deserve to rant and rave. It does feel good to yell & hit something - as long as you don't hurt yourself. I'm a kicker myself and have stubbed some toes :-).  The Gold's Gym Cardio Workout for the Wii is great - you can box and get the aggression out.

Oh gosh Vicki........I hear you Sistah!!!  I don't want to beat up anyone but I sure do want to scream at times.  Except my dog is so sensitive lately that if I'm upset he gets upset.  To be honest........I think I am just so angry and frustrated.  I should be thankful and I am but at times......I could chew nails.

Screaming can be a good thing!  I go to the beach and scream!  No one can ususally hear you over the waves!

Also, maybe try to treat yourself to something as simple as a nice relaxing candle lit bath with a nice glass of wine.  The reservatrol in red wine is supposed to be good for us!  (in moderation !)

Find something to bring yourself joy after the screams!  Remember the things that you enjoyed in the past  when you were a kid.  I bought myself a set of jacks!
