    I saw my PS's partner today due to the swelling I am having in my right foob - I have an infection - I am one week away from my exchange surgery and now it looks like I am going to have to have the TE removed - wait for it to heal and start over.  I see my own PS on wednesday morning to find out for sure what is going to happen.  I hope I can at least get the left one exchanged on the 24th - but I am VERY disappointed about having to start all over.

    Jean:  I think they are still working on it.  It worked okay for me just now....it seems to be an intermittent problem....

    I just got an email from BCO administration stating that they have fixed our problem! If it does not paginate properly for you, the following is recommended by Niki:

    Please note that you may need to
    clear your browser's cache to see the change. You can do this by
    following these steps:

    1. From the "Tools" menu in the upper right, select "Delete Browsing
    History".
    2. Next to "Temporary Internet Files", click "Delete files..." .
    3. To delete your cookies, click "Delete Cookies".
    4. Click "Close", and then click "OK" to exit.

    I'm sorry I missed your posting before your surgery.  You have been through so much to get here.  I can't wait to hear how you have done.

    Alitman: So sorry to hear you have an infection at this point...that makes me question...is it usual to get an infection many months after the expanders are put in? I thought that once you have passed the critical 2-3 weeks, then there is no worry of infection. Is there a way to be discourage infection from hapenning or is it just random? I play tennis 3x a week and I often wonder if I am puting my "boobs" (TEs) at risk by doing this type of activity.

    Alitman -- so sorry to hear this.  That totally bites.  Hope the infection clears up quickly.

    Re: the pagination problem -- it does seem to have disappeared for me (yay)!

    Alison....that stinks!! 

    I had an infection at one point too...and they thought both TE's had to be taken out...but I did 6 days of vancomycin  IV in the hospital, and they were able to save them, continue with expansion and then exchange.  Perhaps if they treat now and wait longer than a week to see if the infection subsides, there might be a chance to save them both??? Just a thought...

    Yasminv1 - Today was my first day back to work from my exchange last Wed. I had a rough day because of the internal stitches from a pocket revision. I think you might be ok if you don't have anything "extra" done.

    Alitman - So sorry to hear that you have an infection and may need to redo the TE process. Maybe they will offer you another solution when you go in.

    Thanks Laura.  I am livid about these new rules.  What the hell?  I am in my 40s and if I had not had an annual mammogram until 50 I would be dead by then.  The mammogram found calcifications in the milk ducts which turned out to be DCIS.  When removing the DCIS they found IDC which did not show up on either the mammo or the MRI that followed; so these annual mammograms I've had in my 40s have saved my life as far as I'm concerned.  So what if there are biopsies that turn out to be benign... I'd rather err on the side of caution.  This is a step backwards for women's health.  I will try set my DVR to record (so I don't miss it -- I can sometimes sleep in :)

    A step backwards wouldn't you say on this topic of having mammograms!!!  I was extremely fortunate to have this DCIS at Stage 0 discovered through a routine annual mammo.  I cannot believe this is happening & why they are reconsidering this when it has shown significancy in early detection!!  Will DVR tomorrow's interview!

    Everyone, thanks for all your encouraging words of wisdom!!!  Am looking forward to getting this rolling again.

    Thanks for letting us know about GMA - Love Robin Roberts - I'm sure she cannot be an advocate of this change.

    Angel/Allison: Not sure what causes the infections with TE's or if it is just one of those things. I exercised almost daily and had no issues. I actually had more pain or perhaps pressure when I did not exercise.

    Supposed to fly to Chicago to visit my daughter this weekend (2 weeks post exchange). PS is not happy about it but will let me go with a boat load of restrictions, support hose, baby aspirin, etc. Anyone else have this issue about flying and/or traveling? I know my PS is conservative.

    janloy, have you been fitted with compression sleeves to prevent LE?  I have read on here that it helps when you fly.  Take care.

    Laura, thanks for the GMA info, I'm recording it now.  I am so offended by this.  All of the hard work of so many millions set back in one day by morons to make a bad health care plan look good.  If it was good, they would be willing to be on it themselves, which they won't.

    Hi Deen!

    Like everyone I am disgusted by what was announced yesterday by the government panel.  Like many of you, I would also be dead if I didn't get my mammogram at the age of 43, then again at 45, then again this year at 46!  Geesh!  I am definitely worried that insurance companies will use this as a reason to deny mammograms to many women.

    Craziness.  Well, nothing spurs one to action like anger!
