mets in herceptin?
I am still in Herceptin (15#). 3 more to go. Recently, I found some hip pain. Actually, it is not serious. But it really affect my thinking that why It is so quick I got mets. I finished 4AC (2 weeks) followed by 4T+H (3 week) in Mar 09. My last PET scan in April was NED. I wonder if I could be mets during Herceptin?

I had a similar situation, by hip started hurting very bad. I had started walking trying to get my strength back and lose some of that chemo gain. As it turned out I needed to replace my walking shoes, they were worn on the sides and causing it.
I hope that yours is as simple of a fix as mine.

I am also interested about this post. I am stage IV, have finished on June chemo and had a ned pet scan on September. I have found a lump on my supraclavicular area and had a biopsy(waiting for results) Could it be so early recurrance while on Herceptin?

I was still receiving herceptin when they found my brain lesion, but herceptin can't make its way across the blood brain barrier. My hips hurt, my femur sometimes and I have joint pain. My onc says it is a result of the taxotere and herceptin has been known to also cause joint pain. I have had 8 PET scans that show NED, so I attribute the 90 yr old body feelings to that and enjoy life as much as I possibly can.

I had bad hip, back and thigh pain during Herceptin. I found out it's a side effect of the Herceptin.

Just had my last herceptin, and just had a PET scan that showed NED. I have pain, everywhere, back, legs, fingers, feet, you name it!! I guess now im done with herceptin i will be able to tell if it was that or just chemo damage.

SL448: You may still experience joint and other pain if you are on an AI. Zapping all that estrogen leaves some of us feeling very old in the body.
