IHC vs FISH

Hi All,

 My tumor was biopsied on Oct 16, and intially, according to the IHC result I was HER-2 negative, with a score of 1+.  Because I'm at UCLA and a lot of research is done on HER-2 positive persons, they routinely do FISH on tumors with a 1+ score.  I'm glad they did, as it turns out I am HER-2 + with FISH, with a ratio of 5.03, which is unquestionably positive for over expression.  I know there is good correlation between IHC 3+ and FISH, and that 2+ on IHC is indecisive, but I know a lot of centers don't even do FISH on 1+ IHC results.  Anyone else out here have an outcome similar to mine?
