Surgery versus chemotherapy

Just diagnosed with regional metastic breast disease. Cancer returned in the same spot as previous cancer (in the scar) and have lymph node involvement in the collar bone area. Am in disagreement with oncologist. He is saying no surgery because there is too much involvement. No radiation because I had it before. Made me an appointment in two weeks. We had this same argument last time. Had a lumpectomy. When I went for radiation treatment, the doctors said I would have to have a mastectomy. He insisted I have chemotherapy first. I didn't get the mastectomy for 6 months. What has been your experience? Should I fight for surgery?

I think you should get a 2nd opinion. If the 2 opinions don't agree, get a 3rd. Get a 4th opinion if you think you need one.
