trouble getting comfortable bra - hard scar tissue

I am having trouble finding a comfortable bra to fit me, as my incision is on the lower part/edge of my breast and the scar tissue building up under the incision is very hard and painful.

Any suggestions as to what type of bra would be comfortable?  I have ordered a small prosthesis/form to put in the bottom of the bra cup to help "even me out" - I wonder if that will help with the comfort issue?

    I have the same problem exactly.  I like to wear longer, athletic type bras.  Also, Playtex bras aren't too pretty, but they're way more comfortable than underwire.

    Be really careful with that scar tissue right now - I ended up with a keloid.  It drives me nuts.

    I have discomfort along the bottom where the incision for my implant was. I like warner wireless bliss bras. They're soft without any seaming. Bali bras aren't good for me as even if they don't have underwire they often have seaming or bias tape across the bottom.

    Are you massaging and using a lotion? You've had radiation pretty recently. Maybe this will improve.

    Have you looked into the Spanx Bra-llaleuja all-hosiery bras?  I have been using them since my surgery and they are very comfortable.  They are all soft elastic, no hooks.  You pull them up from the bottom.  They don't dig in anywhere - I have found them the perfect solution for me. The cup is big enough so you can stick your foob in there and it won't migrate out.

    If you decide to try one, make sure you get the "all-hosiery" kind. They have others under that name that have underwires, etc.  

    I will be undergoing reconstruction so your needs may be different - I don't want to pay for a pocketed bra or anything.  But,  I am finding regular bras too uncomfortable too, my skin feels all weird in that area.  This is a good solution for me, and they are flexible enough so that as I get "overfilled" it will stretch.

    My mom wears the bralelluja and is i love.  She first hated the look and the big straps but it is apparently the most comfortable.  She got them in Nordstroms and had an pocket sewn in (free of charge) where she puts in her amoena prosthesis.

    the problem she is having though is that regardless of how comfortable, her bra shifts throughout the day.  Since she has the prosthesis in her right breast, during the day her prosthesis moves closer to the center of her chest

    Does anyone have this issue?  Right now we have a strap that she hooks at the bottom of her bra and hooks the other end to her underwear.  This has helped it stay in place better.

    Does anyone experienced this issue?  If so what kind of solutions have you tried?

    I like the sports bras.My ribcage is very sensitive after surgery & radiation, but sometimesI need regular straps. I found a warners no wire push up wh/ has asoft pushup shelf wh/ takes up the slack from my lumpectomy.
