You know this argument can go on for ever and will never be solved for both side has valid points and nobody is totally right . i for one don't like debating because its a waist of time we all could be enjoying  and getting to know one another and encourage each other  . Maybe open a new thread for debating only or may be I'm just boring .

Wow- so many posts here I can't even read them all! But here's my take on it- it IS basically hormonal, although the types of hormonal disturbances can vary widely. In my own case, while I already had 2 children (born in my 30's- another risk factor) my then husband and I decided to try to have a baby when I was 47. I had 2 years of fertility treatments (no baby) and 14 years later I had cancer- just like Elizabeth Edwards! I have a very strongly estrogen positive breast cancer. In retrospect, I cannot fathom being pumped full of all those hormones, shooting out as many as a dozen eggs a month for almost 2 years (apparently my eggs were just too old to fertilize) and it not having some deleterious effect on me. Also, it's not just how MUCH estrogen a woman has, but the ratio of good to bad estrogen, something like the case with good and bad cholesterol. That's why I take alternative supplements known to modify this so-called 2/16 estrogen ratio, including Cruciferous Vegetable Extract, DIM, I3C, and Calcium D-Glucarate. Is it working? I dunno! If I'm still here 20 years from now I guess I'll say it worked!

Have you ever read The China Study? It is a great book that talks about diet and the implications of Cancer. We, as Americans, eat a great deal of processed foods that are not healthy or nutritiously the best option for us to consum. Cancer is essentually a fungus inside our bodies. If we can alkalize our body, and eat nutrious food, it would make a big difference.
