...and I saw that my hair had grown out to shoulder length, where it was before I started chemo.

Two years ago I was as bald as a baby's backside.

I looked in the mirror tonight and saw a very brave and strong woman who did not think she was going to make it. I realized that sometimes we make despite our fears.

I remember feeling sick, weak, shaking, being bald, in pain. I can let go of that now.

I looked in the mirror tonight and marveled at my great good fortune at being alive, two years later. this week in my two year anniversary.

And I thought of all my sisters here on this board that helped me make it through.

    God bless us all.

Grin- Thank you for such an inspirational post! I am only 3 months out of my DX and I hope when I am 2 years out like you I can feel the same way.

Thank you for the encouraging words and the reminder that we are all strong inside, even when we don't know it!

Your post caught my eye.  What a wonderful statement of gratitude!  Congratulations on your two years.  I  now have three under my belt and it is so right to take time to be grateful for what we have now after such a frigtening ordeal.  I wish you many, many more yeas of gratitude for life!
