Had Double MX for dcis

hello, I had bi lateral mx for dcis, no saving of nipples. wouldn't I be considered cured with no need for further follow up treatment? such as mri's etc? thank you!

    Yes I would consider that true assumong all lymph nodes were clear. What does dr say? He should have told you that before surgery. May have to have yearly checks, but thts normal

    I had the lat flap -- why did you choose the DIEP? I really didn't have many options because I didn't have enough body fat. Are you happy with the outcome? I still have TEs and will have exchange in Jan then nipple reconstruction. Good Luck

    I would check with your doctor.  I had bx with TE, exchange schedule for 11/23. I did not have to have chemo, rads and am not taking any med.  I met with the oncologist and we are doing 6 month f/u unless anything else occurs.
