Still need to get more sand bags, Very windy and raining hard.
My yard is very mushy and puddles, was alot of water earlier.
They are trying to fix our dam here and if they dont, But God
is with me. {{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{Hugs Back}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}

Adding my hugs to Sheila's. Put them into pretty multi-color balloons and sending them on a gentle wind.
Praying for you Foots and the flooding. Can you get help from a local church?
-
No, they are busy, I am hoping the boy I hire to
help with my yard will get me more. Sometimes
it hard to see why people can't help one other
Going to rest, had a long night. God be with You
all. Footprintsangel

Foots, Have a good rest - be kind to yourself. As you said, God will provide.
It's not that people "can't" help; but we are so wrapped up in our own little world just trying to get by. It's not what the Lord told us to do. I started a ministry in my church 6 weeks ago. It's called "Brother's Keeper" and my scripture reference is Matthew 25:40 "...I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me." About 25 so far have volunteered our time to take care of small projects for members of our congregation. We will do small things like paint a room, declutter, hang shelves/rods, yard work, etc. Your need for sand bags would have come in under that ministry. In 6 weeks we have cleaned inside and outside windows for a homeowner; shampooed 5 rooms of carpet and a hallway for an elderly church member; arranged transportation for a single lady to have a long overdue colonoscopy (she hadn't done it because she had no-one to trasport her). This is what the Lord wants us to do for one another. I'm posting this not to toot my own horn because that is not the point. Perhaps by posting it some will take the idea to the pastors of other churches and adopt the same kind of ministry. We spend too much money on these small jobs that we can offer to one another. If someone needs to change a lockset, why pay $75-$150.00 plus the cost of the lockset, when I can pop it in if you just supply the lockset!
Blessings all.

Thinking of you Foots. I hope you take that battery back and get a good one! That's just not right. I hope you are feeling better tonight and are able to rest. I'm sending lots of prayers your way.
Hugs,
Linda

Thank patoo and Makraz, God bless You for caring and all the loving ways
you help others and send caring notes. Patoo I love your church caring ways
I had to find other help cause almost a year ago I ask the man in the church
to fix my shed, the wood is coming off. Three men knew , never got fixed. I
am paying what I can to get it fix, The city is helping with roof and ramp.
I am looking for someone to help me clean. I feel kinda push aside by some.
But not by family here. God bless you all.
-
Foots, sorry you are having so much trouble. We would not be able to handle the roof because it requires a permit but a ramp can easily be built by a handyman/carpenter and I'm sure there are some in the church. We actually just removed one for a member.
We really need to have less 'religion' and more Jesus in our churches. (I didn't think that up, it's actually the name of a good book I read).
Did I read somewhere in these threads that the American Cancer Society may have people who will help with cleaning? Even if not often, once in a while would be helpful.
Praying you will have an uneventful, restful day.
-
Foots...If we were close I would help you not with the roof of course LOL
Sometimes its difficult for me not to be able to do anything to help you.
All I can do is sending you
