Trolls on these boards

can someone PM me and let me know who it is also?

London- the Bottle of Tamoxifen thread is still open, but the troll is doing most of the posting, all the "regulars", in this case, all the people who have been taking Tamoxifen for a long time and can be helpful to newbies, have left.
This leaves newbies coming to a thread that appears to be over 2 years old with over 50K posts and lots of good information with mostly trolls giving them misinformation.
We were just all saying how much we enjoyed the thread and had grown close and set up meets and all that, when this or these trolls took it over. They couldn't have taken it over if the other members had just ignored them.
We could ask the moderators to close the thread, but that also would be a victory for the trolls.
So best we can do is just not feed the trolls, which I am doing by using the IGNORE function and others are doing by omission- they just left the thread. Some of us - without discussing it- just go by and check for newbie posts, give them the CORRECT information and just hope the newbies can tell the difference.
They'd love a "chase". And who's got time for that?
hey holtbolt! :::::waving:::: whatever happened with the Aerosmith concert? PM me ?

Rachel,
Thank you for an amazing post! I think we can all benefit from it.
However, as a Tamox "newbie" (been on it 1 week today), I am very sad to learn that smart, knowledgeable women have left the thread. I need the support and advice of women who have taken this medication for years. Do you wonderful women come on the thread from time-to-time to help us newbies? I really hope so. We need women like you.

Rachel,
I had never even been to the Tamoxifen thread but after reading your post I went to have a look... There is no doubt that you are right. It is clear as a bell that the person in question is a poser.

Editing to say--I love the Don´t Feed the Trolls motto! It´s a gas!

covertanjou- that IS the problem but... I have good news there
The original posts are the first 179 pages, so you can follow what happened, just start anywhere, really great people. And yes, it looks like people are running by the old thread to kick a few sensible words in, in the hopes that the newbies can tell the difference.
pitanga- thank you!

To all of you who make this board so fantastic, thank you. I have learned so much and made some great friends on the short time I have been on this board.
Rachel, thank you for the info. I will read the pages you mentioned.
