Hi,

I just need some help and answers.  I am 43 years old.  I have has swollen and painful lymph nodes down the sides and in my breasts.  Doctors would do ultrasounds and find that the nodes were swollen but not out of the ordinary.  I have many other health problems including Connective tissue, possible lupus and possible sle, fibromyalgia and Cardiomyopathy so I have swelling from time to time dealing with heart failure. A few weeks ago the nodes were swollen again and another ultrasound showed nodes swollen but nothing to worry about the doctor says. I took fluid pills and the breast went down some...Again a few days ago I wake up and I have painful breast.  I am going to see the doc tomorrow and ask about this IBC.  Hopefully he will schedule a biopsy and find out what is wrong.  My breast hurt so bad that I was at an event that I was applauding and it hurt  to do that.   I also have fibrocystic breast so they feel like the have little peanuts inside them. It also makes it difficult for a mammogram.

Could someone lead me in the right direction or tell me what to do with what is going on here.

Thanks,

umbetoo

Please don't be surprised if your doctor has never heard of IBC.  So many doctors have never seen or heard of IBC. I would also ask to get either a MRI or PET scan because with IBC mammograms come back negatiave.

With all your health problems I would ask for a biopsy the sooner you know what you are dealing with the sooner you can start treatment.

Good luck at the doctors tomorrow.

    Hugs

    Laura
