how many ......can she live ?

edited June 2014 in Just Diagnosed With a Recurrence or Metastasis
my mam had a breast cancer grade 2 since two years
she was treated by radical mastectomy and postoperative chemotherpy
then we thought that her story with cancer come to its end
10 days ago she feel that she can not move her right leg
we do ct brain and found that there is multiple nodules in the left and right frontal lobe
and diagnosed as cerebral metastases
i just need to know what is the sutible ttt for this case ?
and how far the ttt may success?
and what is the percent of   survival rate to this case ?
please answer my Q becouse i am so worried

    Everything depends so much on individual circumstances!  So sorry your mom is going through this!  What have her doctors said regarding her treatment?  The doctors are your best source of information for her specific diagnosis, treatments, prognosis, etc.  Unfortunately there are no easy answers we can give you for these questions, but we can offer our support!  Best of luck!

    the doctors said that her ttt is combination of radiotherpy & corticosteroids
    but no one want to tell me how far the ttt will sucess & survival rate for the case

    I know it's easy for me to say, but try not to get bogged down in numbers and percentages. Survival time, remission possibility, etc are so subjective. The won't tell you her survival rate because they don't really know. Will knowing change any of what treatment you do or how you support your dear mom? I agree someone should perhaps give you an "estimate", but know that's just an average...I'm so sorry you're going through this. I went through a similar situation with my mom.

    the problem is i am getting down & depressed and i have exams next week and i dont study at all
    i am so afraid about my mam and just need any thing to relieve her pain and my worry

    Perhaps you could get your exams delayed - have you asked.  Tell them the stress you are under. 

    You need only continue to love your mam the way you always have done.  Dont change who you are or who she is.  Let her cope too.

    I dont understand some of what you are saying.  All I can say is that you take one day at a time and be as strong as you can be.
