Where do I go to get a wish granted?

    After having a double mastectomy in spring and reconstructive suergery in September, my mother-in-law was told on October 15th she has 6-7 months to live with her brain mets from triple negative breast cancer.  As you would expect, this news brought our family to our knees and completely devestated us. 

     At this point, my husband and I are interested in helping her live like she's never lived before and give her some alone time to spend with husband of almost 40 years before she leaves this world.  I'm looking for any credible agency or people I can call to give her some sort of wish-come-true kind of thing.  She's not the type of person to ask anyone for a last wish, but I know if my husband and I organized it for her, she would be grateful.  We have some ideas of what she'd like to do, but I'm open to suggestions.

    Jen, My heart goes out to you and your family.  Contact the social worker at the cancer center and they should be able to point you in the right direction.

    Thank you for your response (and the prayers).  I've tried a few different places and no one's even called back!  I'll try contacting the cancer center as you suggested and see if that brings up some results.  Sorry to hear about your diagnosis.  I don't know what all of the info on your profile means...are you doing ok?

    If you goggle on the computer I think there are several ones that come up. Make a wish is one. If it is just fior kids, there may be some links for adults on it??

    Do you have a "Make A Wish" foundation in your area.  I believe that they have been active in the Mpls., MN area but I'm not positive that they are a national foundation.  Best wishes to you!
