1. IF you feel a lump in your breast, IMMEDIATLY go to your GYN or PCA for a examination.

2. DEMAND a BIOPSY right away! A mammogram, ultra-sound, or MRI are DECENT methods to determine where cancer might be located but it WILL NOT tell you if you HAVE cancer or not. EARLY DETECTION IS KEY!!!

 3. After EVERY form of treatment or biopsy: GET A SECOND OPINION WITH NEW TISSUE SAMPLES OR SCANS FROM THAT PLACE.

4. NEVER, EVER, EVER! have surgery unless you are 100% confident that you must have to have a surgery.

5. TAKE A BREAK IF YOUR BODY OR MIND IS TELLING YOU NEED TO TAKE A BREAK. Many new "options" may formulate given TIME.

I can not tell or begin to discuss the many tiny errors that were made with my case...that changed my future forever...

That is great advice... but I'm so sorry that you had to go through whatever you had to go through.

Do you mind if I ask what surgery you had that you feel was a mistake? I have a 5cm mass with BI-RADS 5 calcifications but even if it weren't cancerous, I would want this thing OUT (it's very annoying)... I guess I would say I'm 99% confident I need surgery... goodness, where is my Magic 8-ball, Special Cancer Edition. Undecided
