Radiation effect on nipple?

I just finished 21 treatments.  The skin between my breasts on the radiated side is covered with a red rash that itches.  My nipple is dark brown with dark dots all around it.  Is this normal?

    I also had the rash, and found OTC cortisone cream (1%) to be the most effective thing for it. I had a mast, so I don't know about nipple reactions.

    I had discoloration on and around my nipple for a few weeks after finishing radiation, but it has cleared up almost completely now.  :-)  My itching stopped after about a month and I, too, found a 1% cortisone cream to help a lot.  I also used a jojoba oil moisturizer that is the same moisturizer I use when I get tattoo work done, so I knew in advance that it was soothing to my skin.  My nipple is still SUPER sensitive though.  I keep wanting to go back to my piercing studio to have my jewelry re-inserted but so far I can't really face it, because I think the piercing is going to need to be stretched a little LOL
