Stage II Forum
I think it would be great to have a Stage 1-2 Forum or a Stage 1 and Stage 2 Forum.
When I joined breastcancer.org I searched all over for my Stage II Forum. Then after awhile I realized that we did not have a Forum of our own. Stage 1-2 is considered early staged breast cancer and there are a few of us that fall in this category, so I sure would love to connect with the women who also are in my stage in a more convient way.
I am sure the board was developed over time and was always changing and making everything just perfect for all of us was a rather large task. So I thank you for doing an almost perfect job.
Thanks,
Terry

I can only speak for myself..........but one has to admit when they arrive at this site they are looking for women who have a similiar dx so they can compare their experiences. I am not taking anything away from this site.....I think it could grow on forever.
As far as a forum for insurance, etc as you mention.......YEAH......that would be nice.
As far as Balkanizing this site........that is not my intention. I feel I have a good reason to want a Forum of our own that way I can just click on my section and read the posts of my sisters there and then continue on down the different forums enjoying the posts and knowledge from all of my other wonderful caring sisters who make this site such a wonderful place to come to each day.
So I hope I have not offended any of you....I was hoping the creator of this website would take my request into consideration.
Should you have a different need.....feel free to start a different THREAD and express what your needs are. Hopefully, it will allow the creators of this website to see our needs and respond back to us.
Love,
Terry

I love the idea for separate Stage I and Stage II forums. I looked for one when I first joined as well and was disappointed there wasn't one. I do tend to identify with people that have similar stages as me so I definitely think it's a place I would post in often.

Sure, I think its a great idea b/c it is so complicated - maybe this simplifies it - especially if added as a favorite topic - one can keep up w/ a few special women that have a common dx. Valerie

I really like this idea. How can we make it happen? In sisterhood, xo

Welcome livelovelaughalot! They took out 15 nodes??? Was it a SNB? Wow!
Hi to all Stage 2 sisters! -
I want to thank each of you in expressing your thoughts. I guess we can just post to this thread.....if the creators of this website choose to give us our own Forum then I am sure we will all be delighted.
So until we hear back.......just mark this as a favorite or use the drop down box and go to the very last choice on the list and click GO! Then click on the Stage II Forum.
Also, keep bumping this up and asking your questions on this Forum to keep it active. Welcome all of you sisters who have just been diagnosed this year and still dealing with finding your new normal.
Now......this Stage IIa sister needs to take a shower and deal with her stiff hands......caused by lack of estrogen from the wonderful drug Arimidex....:)
Love You All,
Terry

I noticed from those of you who post your diagnosis that the 'oldest' posted was 2005 - are there any 'older' stage ll'er's out there?? I was diagnosed in Jan this year and am still really nervous about the chance of recurrence - yes that elephant in the room - it would be great to hear how others have dealt with this? How do you compartmentalise this fear and put it in the background - does it just happen automatically as time goes on?? I am really, really trying to lose weigh ( I am very over weight) and I am trying to build some exercise into my daily routine but I wonder a) am I doing enough and b) will I be able to keep it up. I would love to hear others hints and tips. It is good to have a stage ll thread!!!!

hi Ain, I have pretty much the exact same dx as you do and understand your fear. My way of dealing with the fear is to realize/accept/meditate on/ in any way not avoid the fact that we are all going to die some day and that fact has not changed since the CA dx - it just became clearer. SO that means to live in the moment- keep my head where my feet are and concentrate on exactly what I am doing at any specific moment and to pay full attention to the people I love. That includes ourselves. Goals r great and losing weight/ being healthy is important for all of us but I hope you r not too hard on yourself or too critical - because we have to love ourselves also- and treat ourselves kindly.
