Mom diagnosed with Inflammatory IDC

My moms starts chemo tomorrow.  I wish i knew what to expect but I don't.  She was first diagnosed with IBC, then biopsy results said IDC now they are calling it Inflammatory IDC.. either way they are treating her like an IBC patient.  She is stage 3 and e/p pos her-2 neg.  Her treatment is AC every 2 weeks for 8 weeks and then taxitol every 2 weeks for 8 weeks.  Its seems like alot, every 2 weeks. Has anyone had this treatment and how was it?

    I had 4 rounds of A/C over a 8 week followed by 12 weeks of taxol. My first A/C treatment I did get sick two hours after my chemo I was sick for 8 hours straight for the. For the remander of the A/C treatment I was given Emend and steroids.  I took one Emend 1 hour before chemo, was given steroids right before treatment.  For the next two days I took the Emend and oral steroids.  After this combo of meds I did not get sick during all my chemo treatments however I really did not eat much.  After her all of her A/C treatments make sure she gets alot of liquids.  I craved ice cold drinks.  With the taxol I was taken off the Emend but was still given the steroids prior to receiving my chemo.  I had no side effects from the taxol.

    Praying that your mom has very little side effects from the treatments.

    Thanks for your replys.  They told my mom to take the anti nausea pills for three days after, but I guess if she's getting sick then I should see if she can take them sooner.  Thanks for all your well wishes I'll let you know how it goes.

    Mom did well today, other than a little anxiety she made out fine.  None the less it is the first day and we will see how the weekend goes.  I just hope it works
