The Consequences of Mothers' Breast Cancer Experiences for Their Adult Daughters' Intimate Relationship Decisions: A Phenomenological Approach

A graduate student researcher from the Department of Family Studies at Miami University is looking for women between the ages of 18 and 25 whose biological mothers were diagnosed with breast cancer in the last five years.

People who are interested and qualify will take part in one-time interviews, either face-to-face or over the telephone, with the researcher, in which they will discuss their mothers' breast cancer experience, family relationships, intimate relationships, and health concerns.

Interviews will probably last 45-60 minutes.

Participants will receive a $10 Starbucks gift card for their time and travel for this study.

If interested, please contact Amanda Ginter at ginterac@muohio.edu or (513) 687-7258 for more information.

This study has been approved by the Miami University Institutional Review Board (09-099).
