Yes, it was miserable here to, we got flurries and freezing rain this morning. I love farmers markets. Are you making anything special? I made a huge crock pot of tomato sauce with lamb in it. Smells yummy.
I hope it went well for Kbug today.
-
They didnt really have that much variety. I got corn, parsley, and carrots.
Your lamb smells so good. Thats what I should get next week. What kind of lamb do you use?
-
LOL!! You can smell it from there??
I bought lamb chops because they were on sale. My kids nd DH wont eat them but they love the flavor it adds to the sauce.......just like Gramma used to make!
Quick dinner because I have pumpkin crving with the boyscouts tonight at 7. Little boys with knives, scary!
-
When I was very young and healthy i loved broiling breast of lamb in the oven, so tasty but full of fat.
-
I have never had lamb. Oh I could never try it.
I went and applied for medicad should know for sure in few weeks. Also will get some food stamps in a week or so. Will still apply for ssi end of month.
Linda pumpkin carving. So much fun for you. I have granddaughters. We will have hot choc and popcorn for snack.
-
I am glad another thing is behind you.
Hot chocolate and popcorn that sounds interesting
Is it cold there?
-
It is chilly. Well to this southern gal. lol
-
I love popcorn with A&W rootbeer.
My sister got food stamps, it helps alot. She lost her job a while ago and just can't find another. The unemployment office is paying for her to learn some computer skills. The mortgage company she went through says she will have to come up with 6000.00 by January 10th then they are going to foreclose. I gave her some money but can't do it anymore. She is going to e-mail the state reps office to see if they can give her information to protect her home.
-
Oh that is so sad.May it work out for her. Many people having a tough time.
I love rootbeer also. We did hotdogs and cheetos for dinner. It was a kid friendly meal. I usually cook when grands here .But I felt we needed a junky night lol.
-
Kbug, my kids would have loved to eaten at your house tonight Perfect meal for them. I'm glad that you got the wheels moving to get some medicaid and food stamps.
Deb, I sure hope things work out for your sister. Times are tough.
Sheila, I have never had breast of lamb. I am not a big meat eater, but grew up with a few pieces of lamb in our sauce (or gravy as the old italians called it). I never used to eat it, I swear I would hear bahh bahhh!! But as I get older, I've started eaten just the small piece every now and then.
Well, I've been trying to attach a pic of my son and his pumpkin, but no luck!
-
I dont know how to post pics or would help.
I hear the bahh bahh. Never would be able to eat it let alone cook it. Whimpy me.
My brother called he is so thoughtful and unselfish. Always worried about me. He has been battling cancer for a long while and dr said he would never live this long. He always ask God to heal me and not him. Now that is great love to put me before himself in prayers
-
every little bit helps. You can even get heap, they help you with your heating oil or gas. We all are in different states but I'M sure this program is not just for NY.
Deb..I feel for your sister does she have any children to worry about also?
kbug if you get SSI Medicaid is automatically goes with it.
-
Maybe Deb will help us with this picture posting. I did my avatar and I know im little closer to posting, but its not happening.
-
Kbug, You brother sounds wonderful! I'm so sorry to hear that he has cancer. What kind does he have if you don't mind me asking. I will him to my prayer list.
-
My sisters DH walked out on her 6 or 7 years ago. Just up and left for another woman. Her boys are 16 and 14 now. It has been a vicious battle between my sis and her ex. It damaged the boys emotionally and when they were with my sister the lashed out at her so bad that I had to call the police. I was on the phone with her and the oldest was smashing holes in the walls with a knife. Finally she had to give them up to the father, then the father could not handle the youngest so he went back to my sister. Then the oldest could not stand it anymore with the father and his gf, so he came back to my sister. It's really hard to follow. My sis has to take the ex back to court to get child support. She also has to control her language, the "f" word is used so freely in front of the boys when they where young, that it now has become common language over there. Sad.
-
Deb praying for your sis and her kids. Kids catch alot of junk when parents dont get along.
I am not sure name of brothers cancer. It was found about 8 yrs ago when he had rods put in his back. He did some tx which almost killed him and hasnt done any in like 6 years. He has lots of pain at times but keeps going. He is truly a winner in my book. Thank you for prayers.
-
Thank you kbug, they seem to be getting better as they get older.
I don't know how to post my own pics on here, I can only copy and paste the html in the insert/edit symbol above. It looks like a tree between the broken chain thingy and the smiley face. To do your own pics I thing you need to go through photobucket.
-
