Hi,

I have some questions regarding early symptoms since there seems to be little or conflicting info about IBC...

It all started this past August when my left breast felt uncomfortable and kinda itchy inside (for the record, my right breast also felt a little itchy).

That resolved itself and, now, for the past week and a half I have had pain (tenderness) in my left breast, my left arm, and the left side of my back.  There are no skin changes but there is a peculiar needles-and-pins sensation in my left abdomen and, sometimes, a burning feeling in my left armpit.

I am posting this because I am curious if any IBC-diagnosed folks noticed early symptoms that they could share since there is a such a variety of symptoms..And, did anyone experience anything like I did?

I am rooting for all of you and thank you!

    HelloStarr:

It is really hard to say if any pain is an early sign of IBC.  Everyone has different systems I did not have any of the symptoms.  Mine looked like dermatitis I also had a mammogram which came back negative.  The only way to get the correct dx is by a biopys.  Please note that alot of doctors have never seen or heard of IBC.

I highly recommend that you make an appointment with your pcp to get this checked out.  Let him/ her know about your concern of IBC.  This is a very agressive form of bc and the sooner you know what it is the sooner you can start treatment.  By the time I was dx it was 2  months after the dermitits showed up and I was at the end of stage III begining of stave IV.

I hope this helps.  Praying that this is nothing.

    Hugs

    Laura

Thanks Laura!  I'm praying for you guys as well...I never even knew about this kind of cancer and am amazed that more people haven't heard of it if it is so dangerous.

Once I feel better, I will try to help spread the word!
