Confessions of a hospice patient

Thank you all for your love and prayers for Amber and our family.  Amber has been in a comatose state since early Friday morning but her body has not shut down yet.  The hospice nurse can only say that possibly because of the strenth of her 31 year old body and heart she is taking longer to move on to the next step.  She is comfortable and not in pain, although I believe she is aware mentally.  We are still waiting for our miracle which is her peaceful passing to heaven.  The kids and I are benefitting greatly from your prayers.  Now we wait.

I am also keeping watch over Amber and am part of her vigil.  I pray for peace and comfort to Amber, Dan and family.  Dan, you are an incredible husband and father and an inspiration to all caregivers.  Amber is an amazing woman with such courage, strength and faith.  We are better people for knowing her, even just the little that some of us do.

You are all in my prayers and many, many breast cancer sisters are praying for you also.
