Got My Pathology Report post Bilateral Max

    Ok so the doctor says this is good news ~  I had 5 lymph nodes on the (right side/cancerous side) removed and 4 on the left.  All negative.  I had 2 tumors on the cancerous breast one 4 cms and one was 3 cms away and 1 cm in size - same exact type of tumor.  It was Invasive Ductal Carcinoma of Mucinous Type, Histoligic Grade 3, Nuclear Grade 2.  The breast also had DCIS and LCIS lesions present in the tissue.  Clear margins no metastic cancer, no vascular invasion.  So I think this is all good.  Being I had a MAX on both sides no radiation no mammos.  I will be having chemo - most likely ACT/Tax - 4 months.  I see Oncologist November 4th.  Anyone else have any interpretations here ~ I will go read up on the internet as best I can.

    Alicia - I think you have it all down.  Take some time to digest all of this information.  Chemo is not fun but you can definately get through it.  You are in my prayers.

    Thanks Sonia...  I am just feeling so overwhelmed !  I guess this is all normal ~ it is hard to believe that we actually have cancer.  AND to get pathology and they say this is good news, and in the same breath you need chemotherapy .  THAT is not good news.  Well I know I am not alone, I have the support of you wonderful ladies here on the boards.
