    Hello fellow Canadian/ Ontarians!

    I had bilateral mastectomy with breast reconstruction using implants.(in Toronto)

    I have had my nipple reconstruction but still need areola tattooing done.

    Wondering where women had their areola tattoo procedures done and do they look

    natural.

     I have just started researching and not sure where to go. Want to hear form others.

    This is the last procedure ....the icing on the cake.

    Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated!!!!

    Maybe you can get a referral from your plastic surgeon?

    A couple of weeks ago I was at a BRCA support group meeting and several of the women there had completed the procedure - one of them did a show and tell and told us about the tatoo person - she did drive to the US to get it done. My suggestion is that you post your question on the FORCE website....I think you will get lots of responses from the Canadians there.

    Thanks for the advise. My Plastic surgeon recommended himself. But I am worried that it will look like a stamp. I could travel to the US but would rather find something more local.

    I have heard of the Micropigmentation centre but dont actually know any women who have had the tats done by them. I have seen photos but would like to know if the women tatooed where satisifed with the final outcome. I will also post on FORCE. Thanks!

    I am a first timer, I had my nipples reconstructed with skin from my upper thighs, they look real.  Perhaps your PS could point you to someone who does this or even better challenge your Doc.  Good Luck

    I'll be doing reconstruction next year with Dr. Zhong at the UHN. I don't know who they recommend for tatoos but when you find a good one, let me know.

    LIza, can I ask where you live?  Were your nipples reconstructed at the same time as your reconstruction, or was that a seperate surgery?  I would be very interested in hearing more about your procedure, if you are willing to share......
