No forum for me
As a breast cancer widower, I did notice there is no forum on the Internet, not is there a sub forum here for people like me. I do not want to diminish hope, or be negative. Just an observation.

I am so terribly sorry for your loss. I am new enough to these boards that I have no idea how they work or how a sub forum gets started. Maybe something good will come of your post - the right people will see it and something new can be created.
But I hope that time and the love and support of family and friends helps you.

Start your own post - there is an instructional area somewhere on the main page.

Hi Ben. Some widowers did continue to post on this board, but for the most part, have fallen by the wayside, or simply moved on. We did at one point, have a man who posted daily about life after losing his wife, but some posters were not kind, especially once he entered a new relationship....so you may want to be warned. Not all of the women, of course, are like that and many will give you some insight into how they feel about leaving their husbands/children behind. If you do need help adjusting after your loss, please post. There are many women here who really do want to help sort out your feelings...and in the process, you can help us as well. Perhaps the best place to start a new post would be on the "family and friends of those with breast cancer". I am so very sorry for your loss. I can only imagine what it will be like for my husband when I'm gone. My best to you and I hope you are doing o.k.

Ben, I am sorry for your loss. I think you should start your own thread - you may find others that are interested! I think I have seen a section on the Komen message board for family and spouses - so you may check there as well.
I would start the new thread on here in the Family and Friends section like Gracie recommended. You are welcome to stay on these boards and I am sure can add some wonderful insight from you experience.
I hope you are doing well.

Thanks for all of the suggestions, and expressions of condolence. After thinking about this, and looking at the Komen freinds and family subforum ( 4 posts in the last 30 days ), perhaps this ( nor the Komen ) is just not the forum for these discussions. A separate forum altogether may be best.
I notice the sig lines, with date of diagnosis, and clinical staging and remember that to be a very separative issue. As far as insight - I don't know what I could add - Why is it so cold in the Komen waiting room?
