Awwhhhhhh Merilee.....that's precious! My daughter is graduating this year from college. She wants to teach Pre-k - 3rd grade. She LOVES this age. She's doing some student teaching this semester, and after she taught her math lesson, a little boy comes up to her and says "I want to sit by you at lunch".KissEmbarassed I think the reason I love them so much is their whole-hearted honesty, not trying to be funny, just saying what really is in their little minds!!! Thanks for sharing your story!! It's sooo cute!!

Edit to add a pic for top of page :)

cute pict. I have been trying to post picts of the girls and the dogs and the cat and the rabbit for a while now and for some reason it just wont work. I have been able to post before so can't figure out what is wrong now.

Friday when I picked Felicity up from pre-k her teacher stopped me and said her and another little girl were hitting each other. Felicity interruped and said "Mommy she hit me first." The teacher leaned down and said "Felicity now you know I saw you hit her two times." "That was just cause I didn't hit her good the first time."

I took her home and explained that she was grounded and that hitting wasn't ever allowed and that she shouldn't be mean to her friends. About 30 minutes later she came out of her room and said "Mommy I'm sorry you are dissapointed in me." With huge tears rolling down her face I picked her up and huged her and told her it was ok just don't do it any more."Ok Mommy but just so you know shes not my friend."

Okay, since it's October, I have to post this picture.  This is my GF's daughter Savannah, who's birthday is October 3rd.  This was about 5 years ago just after her first B-day, when her Auntie Kathi/KAK made her a birthday present, which was her first Halloween costume, which I let her mother pick out from my available patterns.  When we got it on her, we both had to slap each other to keep from laughing and making Savannah think we were laughing at her.  OMG, she was just too cute.  When I was making it, I sat at my sewing machine chuckling and giggling the whole time, especially when I was working on the webbed-feet slippers!!

My dear baby girl decided to put on makeup today while at her aunts house. Makeup of choice happened to be DARK BLUE permanent marker. Was able to get it off her face but didn't exactly know how to get it off her eye lids so used baby oil. It has faded but she will have to go to school tomorrow with blue eyelids. Her aunt and i could not keep a straight face. I tried scolding her but just couldn't make it come out sounding harsh while I was laughing so hard. Needless to say Aunt Dani needs to child proof her house.

How old is your baby?  If she is 5-7 the other kids will probably think its cool - if she is 8+ she is going to be embarrassed!  Can just see that adorable face with blue permanent marker - and not just blue - dark blue!!

One of my siblings, as a child, mixed white shoe polish with water and poured it over the bushes out front thinking it would "help them grow."

    Kathleen

Felicity is 4 or 4 1/2 as she reminds me often. Her sister will be 6 next month and is completely opposite of her. Very quite well mannered. This one though is a firecracker and a barrel of laughs brutally honest about everything even when it isn't to her advantage. They are like night and day hard to believe they were even produced from the same genes. They are also the loves of my life along with their 19 year old brother who happens to be a combination of both their personalities..

Good morning cuties. I was watching the Today show and they had teacup pigs!!!!!!!!!!! People are buying them as pets. I WANT ONE!!! They are soooooo cute. Of course I can't have one, 'cause my dogs would kick me and the pigs outta the house. But, aren't they so cute?

Kathleen, I LOVE your doggie~ I smile each time I see your atavar. I so want a small dog but DH doesn't. I think he's afraid he'll have to take care of it a lot longer than I will LOL. If you love fat cats, you'd love mine. He is a long haired, 19+ pounder. With all the fur he looks like he's 25. If I can figure out how to post a picture of him, I will.

Neat pic Mum.  We have wild turkeys in our backyard.  I could never 'eat' something I've made eye contact with.

Coonie - I used to work for PETA.  We had two pigs at the sanctuary that were purchased as "Pot Belly Pigs" which they were not - they were baby pigs - they grew up to be 600 pounds which is why they were living at the sanctuary (imagine that in an apartment) - so watch out!

BKC - your daughters sound adorable and a lot of fun!

Wild turkeys sure look a lot different than farm turkeys.  As you can imagine, as a vegetarian, Thanksgiving is not a huge holiday for me but I enjoy my family and friends and there are plenty of side dishes I can have to eat.

My brain has gone south for the winter - Egal - thanks for the compliment on Diva - she spoiled rotten!  I do love fat cats and I would love a 19+ pounder.  My poor little guy had thryoid problems and was skin and bones.  Since he has had a very expensive iodine treatment he is all fixed and putting on weight - yea!

Sharon - I'm with you.  I say if you can't kill it you shouldn't eat it!
