Oh yes they are beautiful. I remember helping mom and neighbors shell beans sitting under the huge weeping willow tree.
-
Climbing up the big old apple tree in the back yard and falling asleep on the biggest branch. I don't know how I didn't roll off and break something!
-
Oh I couldn't have climbed far up a tree I was and am scared of heights. I loved picking fresh peaches, blueberries, grapes, strawberries in the back yard.
-
Making bamboo houses, my brothers called they forts, I was the only girl.
-
Going to church camp one summer was lots of fun. I was 12 . Had a ball there was in the mts.

-
Waiting to play four square in school at recess
-
what is four square? It may have been called something else here.
-
Four square is four squares and each kid in each square had
to bounce the ball without touching the lines and it kept going
until some messed up and then someone in line got their square.
-
I dont think I played that one. It has been awhile though kids say I am older than dirt lol
-

Red rover, red rover (send kbugmom right over)
-
Oh I loved that game. Hey Foots how are you?
I use to sit in my dads truck and pretend to drive. The trucks nickname was the green hornet. The truck before that was leaping lizzy. -
Riding in the 3rd seat of my families old station wagon. The seat faced the rear..so it was a whole different experience. Sometimes it made me sick!
-
When I was about 13 I decided I wanted a tan. I put on bathing suit and layed out for like 5 minutes and then back in house. That when on a few times. Of course I never did get a tan that summer.
-

pop bottle, Use to get 5cent a bottle and use the chalk for
drawing and making hop-scotches
-
I remember going to the country and getting corn that was old and dry. Would make a necklace with it.

And bring your dollies three, climb up my apple tree
Slide down my rainbarrel, climb up my cellar door
And we'll be jolly friends forevermore.
Amazing the thngs we remember, isn't it? I could probably still sing a lot of the songs I learned in Girl Scout camp - and that's over 45 years ago.

I use to go with friends and walk by the scary house. We all have one in childhood. I dont think anything ever happened bad there just was old and scary looking.
-
We had one too kbug! We swore it had bats in the attic (actually..I think it did) It looked like a house right out of a scary movie!
-
When we had family get togethers when I was small the men ate first. Then the moms and then the kids last. You would think moms would have ate with the kids. It was normal when I was small. It was a big family thing.
-
Waking up to a sunny day after a storm on Cape Cod.
-
Oh to dress out in high school. I hated it I felt like I looked like casper with my oh so white legs. I was insecure in some ways and outgoing in others.
-
Wearing black and white shoes (they were too small) all we could
afford. Mom made alot of our clothes was cheaper that way.
-
Oh Foots so sad about your lil feet. My mom only sewed clothes for my plays and barbies. She loved to take me shopping.
-
We were traveling everywhere, I remember in Hawaii trying to
do the hula when I was little. People tired not to laugh.
