thankyou. hope you are doing well are you still having treatment? what is usually discussed at the follow up appointments?

I've been finished with treatment for a year and I'm doing very very well.
when you ask about follow-up appointments, are you asking about what's next for your mum?
i'm sure you'll meet with the surgeon and also the oncologist. i'm not sure which will give you the results of the pathology report. for me it was the surgeon but for other's it's the oncologist. have someone go with your mum and take notes. it is very difficult for the patient to comprehend and remember all that is being said.
take care,
lorrie

I hope all turns out well for your mum. I know how you feel. I just needed to talk. I'm crying everyday, I cant even imagine how my mom feels. My mom was diagnosed in June. I did not find out until August after her lumpectomy. It is stage 3, & docs are very positive that she'll be fine after chemo & radiation. She is VERY depressed & feels that a death sentence has been issued. Is this 'normal' to feel this way? What can I do for her? I hope that I am a comfort to her although I live far away & I also have 2 young children. Lorrie, I'm very happy that you are doing well. Thank you for letting me vent. Stay well & take care ladies.

hello. i no it is really hard. my mum has been really strong about it which has made me feel so much better so i can understand it must be hard for you seeing your mum so upset. all you can do is be there for her. if the docs have said there possitive she will be ok thats really good. my mum didnt ask many questions about her cancer so i found it really hard to understand it all. this is a really usefull website to look on. you can talk to people going through the same stage and she how there getting on now. my mum is still waiting on her test results so we dont no about the stage or anything yet x x
