Please Help. Need Prostheses Donated

Hi, my name is Tracy and 43 years old with double masectomy and in need of donated prostheses. I can not afford them, Medical bills have left our family almost on the street. We have six kids and one in college now. I really want to have somewhat normal appearance when I go out in public. I would be very greatful for any help anyone can offer. I was a size B-C. I hate to bed for help, but I dont know what else to do, but ask for a donation.

    American Cancer Society has them for free sometimes.  You can call your local office and ask... They also have bras.

    Your local cancer center/hospital may also have some donated gently used items that they can give you.

    I have two new prostheses which are too big for me.  They are exactly the size you need.  I will send you a private message and mail them to you.  I am honored to help.

    Tracy, I have mailed these to you.  Hope they fit.  I use these with a very basic bra, called ABC model number 105.  You can get them at MetroMedicalOnline.  They have the best price.  The look is completely natural.

    Tracy:  What size bra do you wear? I have a couple of 40C's that are practically brand new but no longer fit because I've lost weight.

    ptgen - I too would love a new bra.  Insurance only covers one per year an I just lost a bunch of weight so mine is uncomfortable.  40C would fit perfectly and I would be happy to buy them from you.

    I have one prostesis which is a 42 C-D if anyone needs one, I am almost done with reconstruction and would like to donate it, I am keeping my bras I got though, thay are super comfortable, will mail from CA no charge.... it needs a good home.. HUGS!!

    Kate, I am a  missionary here in Costa Rica and have been receiving treatment for BC since last November.  Currently I am having radiation and Herceptin.  While receiving chemo at the government hospital I noticed many ladies who did not even have scarves, wigs, etc.  I spoke with the head nurse and she said they also had a great need for prosthesis and bras.  I have brought some back with me from the U.S. and also a mission group brought a box.  When I brought these to the hospital, they were so excited.  I have met several of the women who have received prosthesis and their were many tears between us.  I am going to the states to visit family in November and if you would like to donate your prosthesis just send me a PM and I will send you an address in the U.S.  God Bless, Kathy

    A question, maybe not entirely appropriate -- This gal asked for donations, but has only posted this one time.  No thanks or acknowledgement.  Is it me or is something odd here?
