Hi Hun, Oh my gosh a baby on the side of the road!!!! I think this was on our local news this summer!!! Norm thinking of you and sending love & prayers your way
check in if you can... would love to just say hi..As for the cancer I have a new one (8 sm tumors) in my right breast now, 3 nodes under my arm and 2 or three in my neck. This has all come to light in two weeks. Have had every scan/test possible done in that time, had port put in on the 11th and first chemo on the 14th. This is a very fast growing cancer (the one on my left was a slow cooker) So as far as I know nothing has spread to any organs or bones? (just had bone scan & mugga done so no results yet)
It will be chemo, rads then surgery this time as #1 they cant operate on the ones in my neck and #2 they want to watch them shrink on chemo to make sure Im on the right cocktail. Im still in a bit of shock but staying strong. DH & DS are there for me...feeling helpless again, but thats normal for a guy
. Im doing the same as last time and will focus on healing while doing just a few hours of work when needed (I own my own business so thats a little easier) sigh we have even hired someone else to drive my snow plow this winter
. So thats about it so far... Love ya all and thanks for the ear. Hugs Suz
-

hello everyone.life has been full of hills and valleys the past few months.still dont have internet in the area that i live in.quickly try to update the last few months in acouple lines.first yes my daughter sara had my third grandaughter on the side of the hwy.16.scary to say the least, but all went well, kaylee is now just over two months old and is doing pretty well now,one kindey isnt working too well but she will be okay.
i been fostering a young fellow,14yrs.old for just over three months, challenging but also rewarding.now they asked me to take three more boys,3yrs. 5yrs. and 7yrs. old.they are wards of the court so it will be long term.ive decided that i would take the three brothers on week ends for acouple of months and see if things will work out before i commit to long term aggreement. with all the excitement at least its keeping my mind and body active and starting to let me open up my heart and feel again.im leaving it up to the lord to chart my path.
yesterday was starla 14th.birthday and today is brenda birthday so ive been at the grave the last two days with flowers and balloons singing happy birthday to them.in my heart i know they could hear me.
i will check back in as often as i can at least once a week no matter what.
my family here got me where i am,without you i never would have made it....

It's wonderful to hear from you (((((Norm))))). I'm glad to hear that despite your sadness you have some great things going on in your life as well.

Norm. Norm. Norm. Norm. Norm!!!!!
What a thrill to see that you posted recently. You posted on my oldest daughter's birthday, while I was a few states south, in the Smoky mountains of Tennessee. It rained the entire time we were there, so not exactly a picture postcard visit.
WOW. Norm. Just thinking of the great goodness that you're doing by fostering a teenager brings tears to my eyes. To think that you could contribute to his upbringing -- thrills me to no end.
And then to consider entering into the lives of the 3 brothers, with them being so tiny..... my goodness, I always knew you were a good man, but that deserves an award!!!
I can't begin to imagine the feelings you have with Brenda's birthday & the children's too. So good of you to go & sing to her. I know that she's just over the next ridge -- sending you all of the encouragement in the world.
We are still here for you. Your little BCO, internet family.
So glad to hear about your weeee little one. I'll pray that she gets all straightened around shortly and brings joy to you with every interaction.
Sorry that the internet is so unavailable/inaccessible. On the other hand, I'm glad that you had access when you absolutely needed it. Isn't it amazing how there are "season" in our lives?
Sending you hugs from Ohio.

Norm You are so lucky to have those boys, and they are
lucky too. God bless your little family. LOL
-
Norm, So happy that your trying to start again, I know its hard, but you are moving mountains my friend.

Here are your angels.I go in for chemo #3 today, Ive spent 2 weeks of the last cycle in Winnipeg as my Dad passed away suddenly and my Mom has Ovarian cancer.... tough pill to take, but I made it through all the funeral arrangements for my dad and all that goes with it. And got to spend some real quality time with my mom & stepdad. It was probably one of the hardest things I've ever done, but it was also the most healing. I needed to go back home, and Im so glad I did.(my onc wasnt happy) so 'll add a tear and my own lil angel for my dad here
Lots of love and am looking forward to your new weekly check ins, Love, hugs and prayers Suz

Kbug. I miss seeing you daily on our Slone-Ranger thread. Know that I'm always sending you hugs.
Footie. Sure hope that you realize how much you are loved around here.

Glad to see a post from you Norm. Your words are so true. Come back soon.
-
Norm. Every time I see a post from you, my heart smiles a little broader.
You are a living example of going thru "hell" here on earth -- and yet continuing to put one foot in front of the other. We're approaching the second anniversary.
One day at a time.
I would be so relieved if you had internet in a dependable manner again.
We're all here cheering for you -- as always.
xx00xx00xx00xx

Got use internet again two days in a row yew haw.Sara is off to p.g. with Kaylee my new granddaughter, left yesterday supposed to be back today but ran into a problem at the doctors .Seems Kaylee has swollen lungs and kidneys so they want her at the hospital awhile longer.Testing for h1n1 but wont have results to sometime tommorrow. When it rains it poors it seems.Im keeping very positive towards it for sara but it really scary thought. With being born with the kidney problems Im assumeing that could be the reason for whats happening now. Its a real treat having my Leah here with me,Sara decided to leave her with me,which thankfully she did. This friday the three brothers come for the week end for the first time so wish me luck. Im alittle nervous but Im sure things will go well... Oh gotta go Leah is waking up better check on my princess. T.F.L. norm PS.as soon as I figure out my on this comp. I will posting our six ANGELS
-
Norm. Will start the prayers for Kaylee as soon as I hit submit.
I'm sure that you must be on a roller coaster of emotions -- until she is better. Know that we are here. The raining and the pouring is quite true.
How amazing that you'll have the 3 brothers this weekend. More prayers. That will be something of a circus act to manage, but you will be better for the act of reaching out to them.
I'm so proud to call you my friend.
xx00xx00xx00xx
-
Dear Lord Please bless and help Kaylee, help her to get well
and so she can enjoy her family. This is a very special family
and I know You are with them now. Thank You for all You have
done for them and help them with any other needs they have.
I leave this family with You, In Your loving name, Jesus Christ. Amen
-
Hi (((((Norm))))). Gosh, you have been busy!! I hope little Kaylee is on the mend soon.
It's great to see your posts.
