Breast Cancer Walk/Event

Hi Everyone,

 My name is Sherri Blake. I am helping  a friend organize a Breast Cancer Walk/Event that will take place on Saturday Oct. 3 in Voortheesville, NY. Registration for the walk will be from            10:00 - 11:00am. There will be a $1.00 minimum donation fee to walk. The walk will start at 11am at the Library and end at the park. The event will be held in the park from noon - 4pm. There will be food, raffles and fun for everyone. My friends mom is a survivor of Breast Cancer and my friends son is the one that wanted to do something to help all women and started this walk/event last year. We are hoping to get a larger turn out this year. All proceeds will go directly to the Breast Cancer Foundation. If you have any questions you can call me at 793-7479. Please let everyone know about this walk/event so it will be successful and we can make a large donation to the Breast Cancer Foundation to help with the cause/cure for Breast Cancer. We look forward to seeing you all there.

    Hi Sherry Baer, My daughter and I would love to walk w/ you, I live in Sullivan County, NY.  A few miles awayfrom "Monticello".  Can you tell me were you are in relation to my region??  Also and I will post this seperate, anybody here about the one in Monroe/Woodbury Commons, in NY for October???

    Hi Sherry I am from just south of Albany - I am thrilled to hear you are getting involved for your friend.  Oct 3rd is the big Susan G Komen Race for the Cure in Albany tho!!!  That may cut back on your crowd.  October 18th is Making Strides walk and I heard that October 25th there is a Walk for Hope that Benita Zohn is putting together.

    Oct 11th is the marine corp marathon in Albany - October is a bit crazy with walks/runs!
