Supporting a friend

HI All,

I just found out last night that one of my best friends has breast cancer, I don't know any details yet, as far as stages or type...I just want to know how I can be her support? Any & all advice is welcome. She's an amazing positive woman with two young childre.

    When my mother was diagnosed, of course we were horrified and I did some research as far as what the doctor was telling us.  I can tell you one thing, I wished I would have found this site when she was first diagnosed.  I've learned  more on here than anywhere else.  Our family was so very naive about breast cancer.  We did not know a thing about it.  Her surgeon was an arrogant bastard.  Please steer her to this website.  There are so many women and men on here will welcome her and help her stay sane.  Hugs to you both.  Dianne
