Apple Picking Get Together
It looks like Sunday, September 20, 2009 would be a good day to plan for our next get together. I am thinking that people can bring their families if they want. We could do it just as an afternoon get together or plan to bring picnic lunches.
Let's start the conversation....

I'm interested - will see how the timing works out.
-
I am as well.
-
I am interested too, would bring hubby and kids if that is OK...
-
I'd come and likely my husband - but probably not my 20's something sons (unless there are some girls). We could give someone a ride.
-
Bumpity bump.
-
maybe I can ask here - what exactly does "bump" mean?
-
It brings the topic back up to the active list.
-
Waaaah, I work Sundays! Have fun without me...
-
So here we are just a week away. Who is on board for this outing? I will be here no matter what but would like to know who to be on the lookout for. You can certainly come at any time but maybe we should set a time that we can all be here at. I am thinking 1:00 or 2:00.
Let me know here if you plan on coming and I will get in touch with you for detailed directions. We are located on Warden Avenue between Aurora Sd Rd and Bloomington. Close to the 404.
We will miss you Barb.
-
I'm planning to come unless the weather is stinky. I don't know about the husband situation. I would be able to give a ride to others even if my husband comes along.
-
I'm thinking about coming with my grandson but my daughter is due with the next baby any minute so that could change things.
-
I only wish I lived closer!
-
I am getting ready for house moving so I will not be able to attend. Have a good time.
-
Pretty in Pink.... if you can pick me up I could come. Im not gonna be able to pick many apples but I will have fun whereever I am. How much does it cost for a basket?
Oh.... I live in the east end of toronto... if mason204 is coming, she is close to me for a ride..... I dont drive and the world is a better place because of that.
-
Bump. Let me know if I have missed sending the directions to anyone interested in coming.
For some reason the page will not let me go to earlier postings to check for names. It is the only topic giving me this problem...wouldn't you know!
-
Bump
-
I don't think I'll be able to make it on Sunday ..... sorry.....I was looking forward to seeing everyone again and maybe meeting a few more. Have a great time and let me know when the next get together will be.
-
PIP - I will have to let you know too. We are still hoping to come, but i had my first Zometa last night and am feeling a bit crappy this morning.
-
My daughter still didn't have her baby (she'd like to!) so I will need to stay near to home. It's a two hour drive to the farm for me. Next time!
-
mke lives close to me and I have asked her for a ride.....
-
KerryMac, sorry to hear that you are not feeling well following the Zometa infusion. Please let us know how you are doing. I'm applying for the Zometa as well.
-
Looking forward to seeing whoever can make it out. Please ask someone at the entrance or in the store to let me know when you arrive if I am not there to greet you.
Kerry, I hope you are well enough to come. I would be interested in talking to you about the zometa.
-
PIP, I thought that I was going to be busy today but my plans have changed so I'll be able to make it too, alone unfortunately since my SO works today.
I look forward to meeting you and everyone who will be there! Kerry I hope that you are feeling better and are able to make it. It will be a beautiful day for apple picking!
-
Hey guys - wish I could come today but I am still not feeling 100%. Also had an MRI yesterday which doesn't help matters. We are going to try and come out another weekend though - do you do pumpkins?
If you want any info on the Zometa let me know - there is a program run by Norvatis called AccessZometa, and as long as you have a prescription for it they will arrange the infusion (has to be at home as it is off-label)
Have fun today!
-
Sorry you couldn't make it Kerry, and even more sorry that you aren't 100%.
-
Sorry I didn't make it - and sorry too that Kerry has to deal with Zometa.
My excuse was happier - my daughter had a daughter very early Saturday morning. I enjoyed keeping her five year old son and later in the day taking him to meet his new sister. I hope those of you who made it had a good time. Surely I can make the next gathering!
-
Leslie, I am sooooo jealous! Congrats. What is her name?
-
Dear PIP; How did it go today? I wish I could have been there.
I hope we try it again in the future. Congrats on the granddaughter Leslie. -
Leslie, great news about the new baby....nothing better than that!!! I hope those who made it had a good time. I certainly expect to attend the next get together. Sorry I couldn't make it yesterday. Kerry, hope you are feeling better.
-
PIP, mke and dreamwriter, it was great to meet you all. PIP, thank you so much for the hospitality. The area where you live is absolutely gorgeous and I am very envious!

Kerry, I hope that you are doing better. And good luck with the MRI results - I hope that it shows nothing but good news!
Leslie, congratulations on your new granddaughter!
