Love the avatar with the hat and also love the pictures. I think I can finally post again now. My computer has been messed up I guess. Finally talked on chat last night for a little bit. It was fun but it doesn't start until my bedtime. LOL
Hope all is having a great weekend. We just got back from the grandson's football game, they won and he did good. The weather was perfect too. Then had taco salads for lunch. Miss Emily came home with us.

Hello everyone -- I just found your site. I loved the opening post. Guess, I'm one of those "literal" peeps. My favorite mts are the Appalachia in Western NC. I live in Jax, FLA but hubby and I go as often as we can. Usually a few times a year, except for this year. I was dx in Jan and am almost done with "active treatment". I believe that the one and only thing that has given my family the strength to walk through this last year, is God. May He bless and keep each you.
Hugs
Charmaine

Hi charmd, welcome to the mountain, I hope you come back often. I was also dx in Jan. on the 17 of 2004. I could not have made it with my faith either. God is good. I think I will see if I can find some pictures of those appalachia mountains.
Goodnight mountaineers

Hello mountaineers. It is very cool today. It stormed last night and rained today. We turned off the AC and opened all the windows and it feels so good. Autumn is here, even though everything is still so green.
Everyone have a good evening.

hello mountaineers, I do have some sugar free hot chocolate and I am getting you a cup now. I also have a cake I made with splenda and it taste really good.
Hope all has had a good day. Mine has been sad due to having to put to sleep my grandkids dog. But we have a nice grave all fixed up and my DH built a white cross for it. Lets see if we can find some birds, flowers, insects or something of nature in our walk today.
this is the first time I have ever seen what looks like a yellow lady bug. there is a dragon fly
These guys look like they are fattened up for winter.
I think these are some of those happy cows, the happy cows from California
We visited several planned gardens today but I still think I love Gods art better.
Hope all have a goodnights sleep tonight. hugs and love sherry

Theres alot of places in this world no one has ever seen,
We are so luck to be able to share places with friends. May
You see His peace and feel His comfort. God bless
you all. -
This pic was taken Sept. 16th. www.mountwashington.org

wow, Deb, it is frozen. spar love the picture of the dragon fly. I love them for some reason, When I go fishing they are flying all over the place. I love the mountains. they are so much cooler, shady and you see so many things.
Did you know the dragonfly eats mosquitoes, has six legs and 2 sets of wings but it can't walk but it can propel itself in six different directions. It also has gills in its rectum (yes, I am serious)
anyway back to the mountain thread. I am thankful for it. It is peace
-
I live in MA as you can see by my avatar. So, I don't live far from the White Mts. of NH or the Green Mts. of VT. I love dragonflies also, yesterday while I was working in the yard, one landed on my arm and I was actually able to pet it and it did not move. It's wings where irridecent and it's body was brown. There is a pond next to my place at work and there are many different kinds of dragonflies some are as big as a hummingbird. I also love Fairies, they have dragonfly wings or butterfly wings.
