Areola texture change

I am not sure where to post this so I am giving it a try here.  I have noticed in the last couple of days a very definite texture change in my areolas.  They were always smooth and now they are puckered.  I just got back from a vacation and thought maybe it was a skin reaction, but now I am becoming concerned.  the breast that had surgery and radiation is the worst although there is some on the other breast also.  Has anyone experienced anything like this?  I will call the breast surgeon tomorrow and probably have him take a look.   This living in constant fear sucks!  Thanks for any info some of you might have about this.
