We're back home in OH.
Our summer hiatus has now officially concluded.
Spent this evening with WB & da babeez.
Did you know today is 'grandparents day?' or did DD make that up.
She cooked us dinner, and had a bouquet of flowers, a card and a tshirt for me as welcome home gifts. Truly blew me away. Maybe she missed us?
Am downloading some pics.
Hope everyone sleeps well.
My big presentation is Tues.
tomorrow getting hair cut, putting together power-point yada yada
and so it all begins again.
LOL
-
Oh so sorrrrrrrrry dragonfly.
In my haste I forgot to extend a warm welcome.
We are so happy that you found us.
We enjoy nonsense, the beach, nonsense, drinks, food, nonsense, the beach boys, one another, nonsense, celebration, nonsense, and humor.
Welcome.
Glad you've been given your flips & a glass of wine.
Mark us as a 'favorite' so you can find us again.

More yummy, yummy, yummy.
Mum. Our last night out up on the peninsula I had a crab & pasta dish that was just plain outta this world. I thought of you & your DH. Am I remembering that you have a seafood restaurant? I know his work has something to do with seafood, but I can't remember the specifics. Anyhow, I was thinking of you with every delicious morsel.
Hope that everyone has launched a wonderful week.
I must "shift gears" and get back to 'work.'
Love and sandcastles to each and all.
Sharon. I think your gentleman friend above could be the judge for today's castles?
Do you mind asking him if he has some free time??
-
I feel I can answer for him.........HE IS BUSY
.

Thank Heavens for our dear, sweet Footie.
After solving last night's computer-crisis du jour (power cord 'snapped') I am hoping & praying that our Plan B arises to the situation, as today is my keynote for our state Head Start Assoc.
I have a prayer request for you, fellow beachies -- especially you old-timers..... our fellow beachie named Neesie, has just learned that her husband's treatment for cancer has reached an impasse & he has been put on hospice. Neesie lives in MI and we've had the opportunity to walk the Komen together & have a couple of lunches.
As she said in her PM to me: seven months ago, he was healthy as a horse.
Pray for her strength in the face of the unthinkable.
And Mum, you are charged with taking TONS of pics on our behalf, with or without birds.
-
((((((((((((((Neesie and DH)))))))))))))))
-
Will do with the photos but a little worried since it is Hurricane season.Keeping my fingers and toes crossed.
-
Ran down to the beach yesterday and got my suit measured, of course I was a perfect size 6 LOL. I told them to be sure and put some bling on it.
Mum, Jamaca sounds like fun, my mom goes and loves it there. Hopefully the hurricanes will stay away during your visit.
footprintangel, that is wonderful, no colon cancer. happy dancing.
Going to lay on my towel and read a good book and soak up some sun. I do so need a drink though.
-
Oh dragonfly, you're back!!
Without sounding tooooo whistful (spelling??) or too mellow-dramatic, I want to tell you about my heart being so full tonight.
Today, I was allowed/able to "do" what I was put on this earth to do. It was a huge honor & privledge to speak at our state's 'Institute' for those who work with young children.
Everything worked. Everything clicked.
I used my DH's laptop -- that we were able to somehow retrieve the power point I built all day yesterday & transfered it to his machine.
Their projector worked. The mic worked. The teachers & administrators were hungry for what I had to say to them. We sang, we danced. We laughed. I just kept wanting to pinch myself.
I'm over @ DD's right now, to put my wonder-kids to bed, so that DD could attend the funeral-visitation of her dear friend's father, who just keeled over during the weekend -- without so much as a word of warning nor farewell.
I know that we've had one loss after another here @ BCO, and I shake my head over that fact, but the truth is that this fine gentleman went "poof" in the blink of an eye. He was my age.
Now I ramble.
If ever I go "poof" without so much as a wave farewell..... I expect you, my friends, to tell my children that I was a fortunate person. I loved them dearly & I got to do what I was put on this earth to do..... and that I was sincerely grateful for that opportunity.
Having said that I want to say thanks to each & every one of you, who have carried me along at various points of the journey.
I just know I will count on you in the future, as I have in the past.
I just hope that I can be there for you -- as you've been there for me.
Exhausted now, but they're all slumbering & what an extra blessing it was to tuck everyone in tonight. It's a very good exhaustion.
Much love to each and all.
Many hugs to all who might be in need of one.
