Hi everyone thanks for the replies on my last post. I now have to see a surgoen on the 16th of this month, things are still the same with my breast and the ithy part I just feel like I want ot reach inside my boob and stratch it ot death. I noticed just in a day or 2 that when looking in the mirror close up I can start to see pitting in my breast i mean its not a huge spot of it but it's enough to see when holding a mirror to ur breast. You know I have had a biopsy done in the past and I was ok with it I mean I wasn't to worried about it, but for some reason this time it seems to scare the heck out of me and I dont know why,I guess its like deep down inside the pit of my tummy I feel l ike somethings wrong and I truely hope and pray I'am wrong. I must ask for those who had IBC after they got there biopsy done by a surgeon did they just send you home or did they start treatment right away? I'm just curious Anway thanks everyone

    JM:

My biopsy was done in the surgeons office and I went home the same day.  I received my dx on a Monday and had my mediport inserted that Thursday and saw the med onc the next day.  I had scans done on the following Monday, Tues had scans done and I started chemo on that Thursday.  I had 4 AC every other week followed by 12 weeks of taxol.   In January 2005 I had my mastectomy with reconstruction.  I also had another 4 months of chemo followed by 7 weeks of rads.

    Hugs

    Laura

Hi everyone......I have gotten my appt with the surgeon moved up to this week.I have noticd that my breast seems to have gotten little bigger,my areola and nipple are now a different color darker it seems and I do now have a small patch of skin that looks like a peel from an orange. If I have a hand held mirror its very noticable and today I finally showed my husband and asked him about the patch and with out me saying anything he penpointed it out and said it had a texture to it,and that my breast had gotten bigger and also noticed my areola and nipple looked darker then normal. I was thinking at first I was crazy seeing these things but when my husband pointed them out without me saying anything I knew and KNOW NOW something is wrong and to be HONEST I'am SCARED TO DEATH.

I am like Laura - after my biopsy; port and treatment are quick.  Still on A/C, but every 3 weeks [thank God] - stuff is nasty.  Good luck to allYell
