Happy Monday.
Sending out love to saint and all of her saint-sisters.
The sun's shining. My bike is beckoning.
I left you a message and will try back later, girlfriend.
Much love for this day & every day.

Thinking of you this afternoon Saint!
Hope you had a good day.

saint-sisters....... just got off the phone with a lovely, lengthy, long meandering conversation with our saint herself.
she spent a big chunk at the hospital & clinic today..... answers are eluding her med team. they haven't sorted out what's going on with her blood & for the continual need for transfusions.
seeking additional brains for answers is next up on the list.
we laughed. we cried. ok. so i cried more..... but she's admitting frustration from the "unknowns"
she un-nerved her med team today by being emotional
we talked of the college departure (theirs) the upcoming wedding (ours) and all the various and miscellaneous tidbits of the last week.
we ended up making each other laugh & laugh: their new car yada yada
continue prayers.

Good morning Saint.
Praying doctors can come up with solutions to your problems.
((((((((((((gentle hugs to you)))))))))))))))
-
((((Saint)))) I'm glad you two got your Monday phone call.
-
What I forgot to include from our phone call last night:
saint is probably right this minute on her way to a massage that she scheduled to help her transition to the rest of her family returning to school today. (pretty smart, huh?)
I also finally had the brain power to remember to tell her about an act of kindness being generated on her behalf, where one of our BCO sisters is taking home-cooked meals to a Stage IV sister in her own geographic area, but making the effort on behalf of our far-distant Saint in WI.
That made us both start to cry. She was so moved & so touched & so strengthened to learn of this kindness, being offered in "her name."
We spoke at length then about 'paying it forward' and about 'random acts of kindness' and how that's the way we've both made an effort to teach our own children...............
She is scheduled for yet another blood transfusion tomorrow. There have been two occaisions where the 'effect' of the transfusion has been beneficial for nearly two weeks, but ordinarily it's given her a boost for only several days, and needs to be repeated on a weekly interval.
This need to repeat-the-transfusion is what has the specialists perplexed. Her team wants to send her to the University team for further inquiry. This is likely to happen in the next couple weeks.
Prayers, my sainted friend. Prayers and hope. Strength and courage. Love and joy.
And hope.

Joining you in spirit as you take a step...........and another........

I just called Saint & left her a long rambling message.
Hopefully we'll hear from her in the near future -- about her adventures of today.
Big hugs, sis. Big hugs.
xx00xx00xx00xx
-
((((Saint)))), I hope Faith's (and consequently our) disappointment at not being able to talk to you last night will be replaced by joy when we recieve the good findings from yesterday's appts.
-
Me too.......I say what Sharon said:) Woke up thinking of you this morning. Not in a weird kind of way though......hehe LOL. Just hope you were able to get some good answers yesterday.
Hope everyone of you have a wondermous weekend!!
-
wishing everyone good news, good health and a pain free Labor Day Weekend. I took an extra day off.
-
Hey sis. Give me a call when you're ready to talk, or rant, or share.
We're all continuing the prayers that yesterday was a turning point & that more minds can bring some insight to the mystery.
We're down to our final week here in Wonderland. We went to Fred & Fuzzy's (on the shore -- where we shared our first sundown applause together) and of course we thought of you, the plural you. I even ordered french fried SWEET potatoes in your DH's honor. LOL. Always thinking of you, in this place especially.
xx00xx00xx00xx00xx
If you got it in your head to drive up here, you know there's room!! We've got fireworks on tomorrow's agenda. Our little Sister Bay hosts the annual Labor Day Marina Fest. Sweet corn & brats, too. Plus the library has their annual book sale. Is that enough enticement?? LOL
Much love thru the maze.
-
The two of us are playing phone tag.
I just listened to the long message on mine.
She is hanging in. She has a LOT to process from yesterday. Much to come to grips with.
It is my understanding from her message that 'they' do think this whole business with the continual need for transfusions is indeed 'cancer related.'
The current plan is to continue full speed ahead on her current treatment.... give that a couple more rounds to see if it can be effective.
I know it would do her spirit good to see an explosion of care & compassion -- especially from those of you who seriously 'get' the road that she's been walking.
My dear sister. I took this picture over in Rowley's Bay a couple days ago. (That's where we had the amazing buffet breakfast -- over on the Lake MI side -- when you road in the bed of the pickup truck. LOL)
The quote is from David Viscott and pretty much summarizes my feelings about coming to know you over these years...... you love & are loved, dear sister. You show us how.
xx00xx00xx00xx00xx
-
Sending strength and love for your spirit Saint. Gentle hugs.
Edit to add...........I'll give you a daisy a day dear.
-
Faith thank you dear lady for the update. Send Saint my love and tell her remember we will not bow to bc. I get so mad at this disease and pray a cure to stomp it out is soon. God bless all sisters.
-
Faith--Thanks for the updates. You are so kind to share these with us; what a great friend you are!
Saint--I continue to hold hope for you. I hope your medical team will find the best possible care options for you and that your treatment will be effective. I hope your path brings knowledgeable and compassionate care providers your way, at every point that you need them, and that you continue to find joy in each day. -
Dear Saint--Praying you have a weekend filled wiith energy and strength and no pain! It sure sounds like the docs are on to something there. I pray they can get to the bottom of the situation, and FIX IT ALREADY! LOL
