-
Good morning Saint. Just thinking about ya. Sending you some blue skies, colorful flowers and fluffy white clouds.......all in one. Sure hope you're feeling much better today. Big gentle hugs to you!!

-
Saint, Faith, looking forward to the Monday phone call and subsequent update. Gentle hugs.
-
Sharon..... you're really on top of things.
Today's is Monday. We were able to phone connect.
Saint was literally at her clinic receiving news of scans & tests as we spoke. (We actually had 3 short conversations.)
We agreed that she'd be better to come in here & update all of that info. She has a plan.... I'll let her tell you about it.
The good news is that she got to take college boy TO college...... with all of those emotions, meeting his two roomies and their families.
They spent yesterday at a Renaisance Fair...... which sounded like a good distraction for all of them (from the college departure blues.)
So she's has a relatively long "feel good" since her last transfusion -- 12 days. They have determined that it's time for another transfusion and were in the process of scheduling that for either yet today or tomorrow. Saint brings flowers & roses to that tech, so that she's gets the best attention in that process. Ya just gotta love her, right??
I'll keep watch here and hopefully she'll make it in soon with the other specifics.
xx00xx00xx00xx00xx
Keep up the prayers, saint-sisters. Keep sending your good thoughts.

Sis. Saint....I just wanted you to feel confident that we've got your back. Anything at all you need......you just holler, and it's yours. Why, we've even got a boat that gets around from time to time. Sharon is the captain, and I'm sure she could take you just about anywhere you'd want to go to be embarassed ........ LOL. Hope you keep a little pep in your step. I'll holler at Sharon and ask her to pull ole Number 32 around. Might do you good to see some different scenery from such a magnificent boat, oh what am I saying, I mean beautiful YACHT!! And......here............she...............is...........

-
Hey all---thanx & hugs for the continued support.
Ist-I did NOT shop, but sat on the benches outside the stores!
2nd---dh did all the sheet etc shopping with him-I didn't even go! LOL
3rd---how on earth did any of you do it? Leaving him at college was so sad.......we can't stop crying! It IS what it is supposed to be, but what was is gone forever! It feels like a new kind of grief.....we will get thru just as a gazillion others b4 us have........
4th--the Ren faire was a great distraction, but I wasn't much fun only walking 100 yards b4 taking a rest. DH is such a peach of a guy-----
I just had another transfusion--yes, bribery can be beneficial! LOL
My scans were pretty much unchanged, so my theory is that the xeloda IS working. It's just trying too hard to catch up from being off it so long due to rads...so MY plan is to go to the classic 2 weeks on 1 off for a couple of rounds & see if that works (my numbers seem to indicate a response to the xeloda even when the rbc's drop) If there is no change after that we'll switch to another chemo........
That's all the news for now--be well & stay strong

Just saw The Time Traveler's Wife with my DD------I read the book & loved it (tho it is sad in places,) but the movie is not nearly as sad--they took some liberties----I give it 4 stars as a recommendation (either the book or the movie!)
HUGS-be well & stay strong

Hi Saint,
Miss you on the poetry thread. It does hurt when our children grow up. I think we fear they don't need us anymore. Believe me, they do, just in a different way. Sending love and prayers your way.
Nancy

The sun has just begun to peek thru some early morning clouds.
Seems like there's a metaphor in there somewhere.
I took some pictures of an over-zealous maple tree yesterday,.... working hard to be the first tree in the forest to show some color. The seasons are shifting, I can see the evidence.
You know how I LOVE the skies up here. This is what I saw: '
We're making it. One day at a time. Then we string them together and we realize our babies have headed off to college, they have jumped the broom...... the way of this world.
It's all good.
