but it is beautiful

-
HollyAnn, does she live close by you? If this runs in your family she really shouldn't wait - is her mom living?
My uncle had the silver looking rose years ago and I remember it was called the "sterling rose".Beautiful roses/beautiful pictures.
Jo, my bad cholesterol was very bad; good cholesterol down. You know what that means ! Trying to bring it down with diet and exercise - have 2 months to show I can, otherwise meds.
Enjoy your Friday, maybe tomorrow we can sleep late. Lots of rain on its way.
-
Holy Smokes!
1,000 pages!
Hoping everyone has a great day!
love,
Bren
-
Jo, we'll think of each other as we walk. I'm only making it one time around the track but it is a start. I'm trying too.
He did mention the Fish oil pills. When I told him I would like to try bringing it down on my own, he told me to get some "Red Yeast Rice" tablets as it is like an herbal Lipitor. I got those today, got the 1200 mg. ones as I only have to take one a day.
Bren, yes 1000 pages - unreal.
Night everyone, tossing on another log.
-
Beautiful Roses - I wish I had enough sun in my yard to grow some.
A month ago I was at the GP's office for my annual cholesterol checkup. He was also concerned about my blood sugar and suggested I lose some weight. I already walk the dog at least an hour a day. His helpful suggestion???? WALK FASTER!!!! (Gee thanks, doc.)
SO...I am dragging out my Reebok step and I got a DVD from the library to see if I can survive a workout. (it's been about 15 years ladies.....) That's me on the step out at the edge of the circle. Somebody bring me some water after a while OK?
-
Donna..step on up to the circle..
I had the same problem with the weight...still do..but I had to lose 25 pounds with another 25 to go
and it seems to have stopped when I started beta blockers..arimidex also was a problem with losing any weight..
I did lose the first 25, and my fasting sugar is now 85...but I take zocor..even a low fat diet did nothing for that...
-
Wouldn't it be great if we could all hike here...
-
Beautiful photos as always, Lisa! I've recently joined the Zocor club...............have you had any problems with the med and did it do the trick?
Denise
-
Hi Neesie...my doc told me I should be the poster girl for zocor..it works for me...
I have so many side effects from so many different things, I can't keep them all
straight...
-
Can i ever associate with the side effects. My second chemo treatment and my second round of hives. This time it took 2 days in the hospital to get them under control. My finger nails feel like someone is trying to pull them off with tweazers as well. Feeling better last two days gonna saddle up my paint and come sit by the fire until the evening starts to chill. Love all you ladies out there. It is great to talk to you or even be able to vent about the treatments and side effects because a lot of you know what I am going through -- hugs to all Saskie
-
Hi Saskie..
I am so sorry for your side effects from the chemo..I thought they gave
some sort of anti allergy stuff before the infusion..but I don't know anything
about that really...
As I said the last time I was in Sask was in June in a snowstorm...who knew?
The sister of my husband's niece is a dr. in AB with a BC arm
hope your next chemo goes better!!

Beautiful mountains SoCal, are they in Alberta, I was in Banff last summer and just loved it!!!
-
I think you are right Welga...that it was taken in Alberta..I took so many, I can't remember just where...
but I can't even begin to express the beauty of that area...
-
A big hey there to all the Circle Girls, I hope everyone is as well as they can be. Sending out good vibes and hugs to all...Colleen

-
Colleen good to see you drop by and say hello.
Saskie, what are they giving you before your treatments to help with allergic reactions? Sending wishes for better chemo days.
Jo, homemade lemon pie? Haven't had that in a very long time. Think I'll join ya.
Overcast but cooler today. Hopefully not as humid. Have a great day everyone !!
