swimming with a prosthesis

I swim two or three times a week which I credit with giving me full range of motion after my mastecomy (one side only) 11 years ago.  I have used Amoena's prosthesis which attached with an adhesive strip and velcro--However, they have quit making that type and only now make the ones which (supposedly) just stick to the chest wall.  They work okay if you don't actually move during the day, but I try to stay active and find I can't wear one for more than a couple hours before it starts to shift around, even tho I wash it with the soap and brush provided and wear it with a bra.  Has ANYONE found a prosthesis that works well with swimming?   Surely I am not the only active swimmer who has survived BC, but did not have reconstruction.

    Amoena makes a swimform that fits into the pocket of a mastectomy swimsuit.  It's clear, and the part that fits up against the skin is scooped out to allow water to flow freely.  I use mine in my swimsuit and in sports bras as well.  I bought regular sports bras at Penneys that actually have two layers of fabric.  I just cut a slit so I could slip the form into a pocket environment.  I ordered mine off the internet.  I've had it for a couple of years now and it's great.  The scoop also lets air flow through when you workout.  I swim several days a week and work out at the gym several days as well.  I looked on the box and it says "Amoena Swimform".  I think it was about $200.

    I also use the Amoena swimform, in fact it is eight years old now..

    it has discolored a bit over the years, but it still works !!!
