Join the TaTa Sisters-Portland OR Race for a Cure Sept 20!

Both of us, Janet (JazzyJ) and Karen (KEW), are hoping to bring as many of our TaTa Sisters together for this event.  If you are in the area please feel free to join the team, as the day draws closer we will set up a meeting place.  If you are not in the area and cannot join us for the day, please consider making a donation to helps support breast cancer research help us move closer to a cure!

The TaTa Sisterhood grew from a few women meeting online at Breastcancer.org, on a particular thread called Exchange City.  Created in January 2009, Exchange City was developed to discuss the breast reconstruction process, but it has become so much more as of this writing there have been more than 4321 posts and 58649 views of this one thread on the discussion boards.  We have learned about ourselves and each other as each of us has moved forward from surgery, treatment, and to reconstruction.  We've shared about our families, fears, and hopes, and always there is a sister ready to respond.  The Sisterhood includes women from all over the world, so any time, day or night we are likely to get a quick response and cyber-hug from one of our sisters.

We appreciate our friends and families that have given so much of themselves during this time.

As a group we are committed to healing strong and supporting each other for as long as it takes!

We are strong, vibrant women, who HAD breast cancer, now we hope to support the sisters who are behind us by walking and gathering contributions for the Komen Foundation to find a cure.

We hope to see you there!

Janet and Karen
