    Hey ladies,

     I am in treatment....I have done#11 as of today and got 5 more to go.....Then off to radiation. I tried real hard not to get the port....I went through 8 treatments without it....Then I HAD TO GET IT ......Veins simply failed and I was so tired of being poked on....So here I am someone who has done it both ways and I say ..............PORT PORT PORT!

    i felt and feel the same way kathy and you're allowed to feel that way.  i'm sitting here writing while getting used to the idea with a port in my chest(just in today).  the port as angelsabove says is for YOUR benefit so don't be scared of it. this is why there are websites and support groups, to vent, be scared and pick up your head and persevere.  we wouldn't be a woman if we didn't fight, right?  i'm 2 weeks out from my diagnosis and still doing tests but i'm nod neg so i'll take that good news and move on positively.   BELIEVE ME I HAVE MY DAYS but its OK and its also OK to enjoy life still!  you are not doomed, just challenged.    LOTS OF HUGS

    Got mine in too and doing OK.  Slept most of the afternoon away and that was good.  Glad to hear you made it through too Alley.

    well i'm home after a long day of CT, bone scans and chest x-rays.  developed an air pocket while in surgery yesterday so something that needs to be watched but should go away on its ownWink CT scan came back normal so one more step to kicking cancer's buttLaughing
