Males CAN get breast cancer..but it is rare. I think I read males make up 1 % of the breast cancer statistics.
That said, go to your doctor and have them take a look.
sounds like whatever it was the first time around...is happening again.

Last summer I met a 44 year old man who was in treatment for breast cancer. He is married with children and looked in good physical condition (former Marine). Several women in his immediate family had been diagnosed with it as well.
Good luck

Absolutely, males can get breast cancer. My uncle had breast cancer years ago. Although I think it's usually diagnosed in older males, you definitely should get it checked out. It's probably nothing, but better to err on the side of caution!

Well since a whole section is dedicated to it, the answer is obviously yes. Anything unusual should be discussed with the doctor. We have a couple of men who chat on line. They dont want any further company (Mark and Larry) They would both rather you be cancer free.

Yes males can have breast cancer, I have seen 4 cases where I work, all had a mastectomy, chemo, all were over 50,there is a famous actor that had B.C. and he speaks about it, go to a surgeon and get tested, by the way all the patients are doing fine, you can get more information from NCI.

ANYONE who meets a man who is/was in the military and has breast cancer should inform him of the Camp LeJuene issues. Apparently over 15 men who were stationed there now have breast cancer...way over the national average.

Rashiri,
Yes, men can get breast cancer. I'm living proof of that. Breast Cancer is a very sneaky disease so you should get your lump checked pronto. Since you have had the lump for 12 years, chances are that the lump is not breast cancer but why take a chance with your life?

The former marine I met last summer had been stationed at Camp LeJuene. He was the first person to tell me of this issue and was looking for others. Apparently it may have something to do with toxins in the water supply.

Glostagirl,
My name is Mike, I was also at Camp Lejeune and one of 20 men who now have breast cancer and either served or lived upon the base. Was the man you reference named Peter from MA? If not, I'd like to get in touch with him to make sure he is not a new case.
