Resizing a Prosthesis

I have lost weight and went and got fitted for new prosthesis. I want to use the old one for my bathing suit. So I sewed half a bra into the suit and when I wore it it came away from the chest and I had one honking big boob and one ordinary boob. I was kinda embarassed but I was among friends. I want to know, if I cut the thing down a few notches would it seep away into nothingness. What happens when you cut into a silicone boob?

I've had old ones split and the silcone oozed out all over the place. I think that it needs the covering to hold the shape.
