Bra Question

Options

Okay ladies, I checked the forum and I don't see another question like this, but i could really use a little guidance. I had a double with bilateral tram reconstruction done last April.  Went through chemo and radiation and came out okay.  The radiated breast is slightly smaller than the other one.  But they weren't the same before my diagnosis so that was fine.  And honestly you couldn't really tell unless I was naked and you were really looking!

So anyway, here I am 9 months post treatments, I've been wearing a bra for about that long. But yesterday I noticed that the non radiated side looked significantly bigger than the other one. I don't like that idea.  Anybody know a good bra that will make things look more even, but not leave my radiated breast "drowning" in the cup?  I don't want a lot of padding...I just want to appear more even.

The other question is, do I go back to my PS and have him fix the non-radiated side to match the other one and what type of procedure is that and what's the recovery on it?

Any thoughts/ideas would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks
Christy

American Cancer Society has a catalog that you can see on line and sells fillers to even breasts and to cover nipples if they are also uneven.[This is me]

You can get the fillers at the drug store too, they use them to uplift small breasts to give cleavage where there was no cleavage before.  My youngest daughter (20) uses them.  And I thought I saw one in her bikini the other day when she leaned over the diving board.

One of the seamless stretch-foam t-shirt bras might work for you.  They can help to even out any uneveness.  I know Anita has one that's made so you can use fiberfill/fleece in it to even things out.  You could also get a silicone partial prosthesis that will fill out the smaller side, though you'd probably want to use a pocketed bra with one.  There's also foam "cookies" that you can use that help fill-in, but the edges might show through a lot of bras.
