nipple inverted

Hi Ladies, I was wondering how many of you with IDC had a nipple inverted before being dx. I will find out the results of my biopsy at my appointment tuesday. Eventhough the Doctor says my mammogram result which was a  birads 5 look very suspicious. So I pretty much expect to be dx tuesday. I was also wondering if anyone had architectural distortion instead of a mass. I don't know a lot about this subject. I am just hoping that the cancer is early instead of advanced. The nurse who assisted with the biopsy said the spot was small so I hope that is good. What scares me it the I am 47 and my first mammogram. The only reason I had one was becasue of inverted nipple which I had been gradually keep getting flatter and then eventually turning in. I just wish I would have had it checked out sooner. Thanks ladies for listening to me voice my fears.

    Hi,

    I had both shooting pain in my breast and a flat, and then inverted nipple. I was dx on 7/2 and had a right breast mastectomy 3 weeks ago today.

    It's good that the spot is small, and please remember that most biopsies come back B9. Please don't criticize yourself for not getting checked sooner. Lots of us are in that boat. Regardless of your biopsy result, just remember to take good care of yourself from this point forward.

    Yup I had an inverted nipple that I ignored for quite a while.  I also had sharp pains too.  My cancer turned out to be ILC.  Don't get too wound up (if you can help it)... I know that is easier said than done.  (((HUGS)))
