Wondering about any connection ADH/Fibroids/Ovarian Cyst

You all were such a wealth of information before, figured my smartest move was to tap into that knowledge.

I had a dx of ADH almost 2 years ago - due to my neurological condition elected out of Tamoxifen and have just done "close watching", even though I have a slight family history (maternal grandmother).

Have been feeling poorly for awhile and finally got an ultrasound done - enlarged uterus, evidence of multiple fibroids, and left ovarian cyst. Waiting on GYN appt next week and will opt for a hysterectomy (I'm 42 and way done w/kids) but concerned about the links between BC and the ovaries.

Anyone have this sitation or any welcome info/insight?

Hi Emily, there is a link between breast and ovarian cancer. Not sure about atypical stuff in the breast and ovarian cysts. I have fought ovarian cyst issues for 23 years now. I am on tamoxifen and my gyn feels that it should shrink and supress the ovaries. It hasn't yet but has sent them into overdrive and my ovaries are covered in cysts. So you answer your question I have no clue but wanted you to know you are not alone. I opted for a hyster but ins wouldn't cover it at this point. I will check back because I am very curious to see what others have to say. Good luck to you.

Hey I'm in your same boat. January 08 last year found out I had LCIS and ADH. Then in June of 08 had my right ovary out due to a large complex cyst. This year I have another large complex cyst on my left ovary now and will be having a complete hysterectomy in Sept. I am only 42 as well. I have been taking tamoxifen for over 18 months now. My onc will stop my tamoxifen and put me on something else after my surgery, not sure what though.
