Gamma imaging

Gamma imaging - just learned about it - apparently it can find lobular cancer better than other imaging technology.  Anyone have this?  I am very interested.  On my way to Stanford Hospital to meet with an oncologist.

I'll be interested in what the onc at Stanford says about it. I'd brought up gamma imaging with my onc, and she felt it wasn't necessary on top of the mammos and MRIs. She said the radiologists at her facility were using it to further evaluate findings from other imaging techniques rather than as a primary screening tool. I was disappointed, b/c the technology seemed promising to me.

So far, the Stanford onc did not seem very enthused about gamma, at least in my case.  I will follow up with this as I have two more appts shortly.
