Options
I am suffering from fatigue. I've been suffering from it for past four months. I have tried various things to improve your energy level and not gotten a lasting result. It affects me as a temporary loss of strength and energy resulting from hard physical or mental work.

I suffer from fatigue also and have been since radiation treatments.  I get little more than shrugging shoulders from my doctors, with a smattering of blood tests that at least tell me I'm not diabetic or anemic.  Fatigue is a symptom of a lot of things, which is problematic.  Perhaps if you shared a few details, it could help know where to start.

Take the first step to positive change and heal your body, let go and start living. Fatigue is one of the most common health complaints in America. Fatigue robs millions of people of the ability to enjoy work and live life to the fullest. For many people, fatigue has done more to destroy their quality of life than any other condition. I recently came across an appealing site while browsing the internet. The site is http://www.lonstein.com/ and it comes across with very valuable ways to change your approach and attitude towards things.

I used to suffer from fatigue then I did what my onc told me to do...I started exercising...Not a lot ....Just short walks or even put on my favorite slow music and just sway to the music...it got my body moving and got the juices flowing and i feel much better.....It used to be all I could do to get out of bed but after a few weeks of light exercise I feel so much better.......I am almost back to where I can do things I did before my diagnosis.......Good luck to you ladies........

I suffered from fatigue and exercised all through treatment and beyond, still exercising, just not this minute.  Ha Ha.  Any how, I've been taking a bunch of supplements including CoQ10.  Probably take 400 mg per day.  I'm not sure if it is what's helping or if it is just the time that's transpired since my treatments ended in Nov 2007.  I have a lot more energy with steady, long lasting output for running, yard work, sitting at a mind-numbing job, etc.

Something to consider though.  I do have sleep problems and for that I will take an Ativan at night, .5mg.  The next morning when I run, my entire body is just so sluggish, like a hangover.  Also, I am on tamoxifen.  I have no idea if that is a factor.  Overall, I don't appear to have apparent side effects. I guess I am telling you this as to suggest you take a look at the meds you are taking and maybe the supplements you aren't taking.

    Hi sbottom,
I am a survivor and was a caregiver to my father who passed away in 2007 from colon cancer. We both suffered from chronic fatigue while going through treatment. While caring for my father I couldn't find much information to deal with the side effects so I started a blog, CincoVidas.com, that focuses on the side effects of cancer treatment on the hair, skin and nails.
I did a post on yoga for relieving fatigue and gaining some balance http://blog.cincovidas.com/yoga-restoring-minds-and-bodies-during-cancer%E2%80%94some-survivors-call-it-a-%E2%80%9Clife-saver%E2%80%9D.

    I hope this helps.
    Love, strength and survival
